GIVE FROM YOUR IRA
Starting at age 70 ½, donors can transfer funds directly from their IRA provider to a qualified charity. This is called a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD), and counts toward your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) for the year. If you are age 73 or older and need to take RMDs, your QCD counts toward your annual IRS requirement.

With a QCD, the distribution is not considered income to you, reducing the risk of your distribution pushing you into a higher tax bracket. Check with your IRA provider to see if your IRA type is eligible.
